#KGReadiness Day 36: The Name Game, or The Banana Song if you prefer

Did Shirley Ellis (or anyone else in 1964) know that the ability to create nonsense rhyming words by deleting and adding syllables is a key (and some would say THE) most important precursor to literacy?
Unlikely.
Phonological awareness is the name of the game when it comes to reading readiness, and I'll be posting lots more about it in the fall.
But for now, enjoy The Name Game, courtesy of YouTube.  Classic.
